Review the most important areas before opening your store to customers. Check off each area and launch with confidence.
Review before opening
Check the homepage, menus, page titles, contact details, terms and conditions, and privacy policy. Read through the text one last time and make sure all links lead to the correct destination.
Verify product names, descriptions, images, prices, VAT, variants, and stock levels. Test how each product is displayed on both mobile and desktop.
Complete a full test purchase. Check payment options, shipping costs, delivery times, the order confirmation, and the information about exchanges and returns.
Visit the store as a new customer. Test navigation, search, filtering, the shopping cart, and checkout on mobile. Also check loading times, contrast, and whether buttons are easy to find.
Review each page and check the meta title, meta description, and page heading. Make sure the texts are relevant, unique, and clear, and that important pages can be found by search engines.
Decide how you will track visits, sales, and customer inquiries. Make sure analytics tools and any newsletters are working, and plan who will be responsible for support.
